Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Jr Estimator located in Watervliet, NY. The Jr Estimator will be responsible for assisting in preparing cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, and working closely with the Senior Estimator and other team members. Daily tasks include gathering and evaluating proposals, reviewing project plans and specifications, and preparing detailed cost breakdowns. The Jr Estimator will also maintain records of estimated and actual project costs and collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Understanding of construction plans, specifications, and contracts
- Analytical skills with the ability to assess project requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cost analysis and record-keeping
- Proficiency in estimation software is a plus
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in EC&M, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
