Qualifications:Summary:
Under the immediate supervision of the Access Center Coordinator and the administrative supervision of the Outpatient Clinical Director, interviews incoming clients or representatives by phone and gathers necessary information to direct new referrals, etc. to appropriate disposition.
Examples of Duties:
- Coordinates and communicates effectively via telephone calls and email system.
- Conducts telephone interviews with prospective clients or the referring individual to obtain demographic information to begin and complete the intake process.
- Accurately assists in centralized scheduling for providers of the agency.
- Reviews potential client insurance and facilitates authorization if indicated.
- Productively handles at least 40 calls a day related to client care or services and documents accurately.
- Have adequate knowledge and provide accurate information regarding the agency and services offered.
- Follows all guidelines outlined in the CAREY Policies and Procedures Manual including Corporate Compliance Policies.
- Is expected to have regular and predictable attendance to ensure coverage for the Access center.
- Other assigned duties by supervisor or management to meet the needs of the organization and work cooperatively with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalence is required. Experience in a mental health setting is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, walking, turning, twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (<20lbs), manual use of keyboard and other office equipment; must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Physical requirements in this section are considered essential functions of the job to perform the job responsibilities.
