This individual contributor role is ideal for an Epic expert who can confidently navigate technical challenges, collaborate with executive stakeholders, and design scalable solutions that improve patient access and healthcare operations.

The Epic Architect combines deep application expertise with strong consulting skills, partnering with healthcare organizations to optimize workflows, solve complex configuration challenges, and develop repeatable frameworks that elevate delivery across multiple engagements. Success in this role requires exceptional communication, systems thinking, and the ability to earn trust with clients, cross-functional teams, and Epic partners alike. What You'll Do

  • Lead Epic architecture across multiple client engagements, designing, configuring, and optimizing workflows primarily within Cadence, Prelude, and MyChart.
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor in meetings with clients and Epic, providing thoughtful guidance and building trusted relationships.
  • Develop scalable delivery frameworks, implementation methodologies, and best practices that improve consistency across engagements.
  • Troubleshoot complex Epic configurations, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Partner closely with patient access and operational teams to align technology with real-world workflows and drive successful adoption.
  • Evaluate and improve telephony and call center integrations where Epic and operational workflows intersect.
  • Translate technical concepts, tradeoffs, and recommendations into clear, actionable guidance for technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Assess existing workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and create implementation plans that support long-term adoption.
  • Provide technical expertise during business development efforts by helping define project scope and aligning delivery expectations.
  • Explore automation opportunities and technology-enabled processes that improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency across client implementations.

What You'll Bring

  • 8–10 years of experience in Epic service delivery, healthcare IT consulting, or Epic implementation with demonstrated success leading complex initiatives.
  • Active Epic certifications in Cadence, Prelude, and MyChart (required).
  • Additional Epic certifications such as Ambulatory, Referrals, Hello World, Nurse Triage, or Cheers/Campaigns are preferred.
  • Deep technical expertise gained through advanced application management, consulting, or Epic support experience.
  • Experience partnering with healthcare systems in a consulting or client-facing capacity.
  • Proven ability to develop reusable frameworks, standards, and methodologies that improve delivery across multiple teams.
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to anticipate downstream impacts, evaluate tradeoffs, and guide organizational adoption.
  • Experience collaborating with patient access and operational teams to improve workflows and outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage technical teams, executives, and client stakeholders.
  • Calm, collaborative leadership style with the ability to navigate complex client environments and build confidence through expertise.
  • Experience with telephony integrations, call center technologies, or Epic-connected operational platforms is a plus.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments where building scalable processes is essential.
