The Data Mapping Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the transition of legacy data to a new EHR system, ensuring data is mapped, transformed, validated, and prepared for a smooth migration. This role does not require a clinical background, though familiarity with EHR systems and third-party integrations is helpful. The analyst will collaborate with data migration, technical, and clinical operations teams to support data quality and migration readiness.

What You'll Do

• Support clinical data mapping and conversion activities by partnering with migration vendors and technical teams to define how legacy clinical data will be mapped, transformed, and loaded into the new EHR.
• Work with data such as diagnoses, medications, allergies, assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation throughout the migration process.
• Review mapping logic and conversion results to validate accuracy, completeness, and usability of migrated data.
• Identify data quality issues and coordinate remediation activities prior to go-live.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations and data migration teams to translate workflow requirements into data mapping decisions.
• Document mapping assumptions, decisions, requirements, and validation criteria.
• Help ensure alignment on migration scope, data quality expectations, and go-live readiness.
• Support data cleaning, preparation, extrapolation, and validation activities across a variety of tools and techniques.
• Communicate findings, issues, and recommended solutions clearly to team members and managers.
  
  
  

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with EHR transitions, preferably athena.
• Experience with data entry, data cleanup, and data preparation, ideally within an EHR environment.
• Strong proficiency in data cleaning and preparation using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Expert knowledge of Excel and data extrapolation.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex issues logically.
• Ability to communicate solutions, findings, and data-related issues clearly.
• Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and requirements.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and third-party integrations is helpful.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical, operational, clinical, and vendor stakeholders.
