About the Role
CareView is seeking a Director of Product with a unique blend of clinical nursing expertise and business acumen to drive the development of our patient safety and virtual nursing solutions. This role bridges the gap between healthcare delivery and technology innovation, requiring someone who understands both the clinical realities of nursing care and the strategic demands of product development.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends in patient safety technology and virtual nursing platforms
- Analyze the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for product differentiation
- Gather and synthesize feedback from healthcare systems, nursing leaders, and frontline clinicians
- Translate market insights into actionable product strategies and roadmap priorities
- Facilitate a clinical user group comprising nurses, nurse leaders, and patient safety experts
Product Documentation & Requirements
- Create detailed product requirements documents that align clinical needs with technical specifications
- Develop user stories and acceptance criteria that reflect real-world nursing workflows
- Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including feature specifications, release notes, and training materials
- Ensure all documentation meets healthcare compliance and regulatory standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with development, design, and data science teams to build intuitive, evidence-based solutions
- Work closely with sales and customer success teams to ensure product messaging resonates with clinical audiences
- Collaborate with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet healthcare standards
- Communicate product vision, progress, and challenges to executive leadership and stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN required); MBA or Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field strongly preferred
- Active RN license with a minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience
- 2 years of product management, product development, or healthcare technology experience
- Deep understanding of patient safety, nursing workflows, and hospital operations
- Proven ability to translate clinical needs into technical requirements
- Experience with virtual nursing, telehealth, or patient monitoring technologies
- Experience conducting market research and competitive analysis in healthcare technology
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Background in clinical informatics or nursing informatics
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and patient safety protocols
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to derive insights from clinical and usage metrics
- Experience working with clinical advisory boards or user groups
- Track record of successful product launches in healthcare technology
- Understanding of electronic health record (EHR) integration and interoperability standards

- Up to 10% travel
Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
