Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during physical exams, vaccinations, and outpatient procedures
- Perform and process laboratory tests (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecals, etc.)
- Monitor and manage anesthesia for surgical and dental procedures
- Take and process radiographs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Educate clients on preventive care, post-treatment instructions, and home care
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure a clean, organized treatment area
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) in New York State, or currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary technology program.
- Minimum one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong interest in orthopedics and/or surgery. Proficient in general practice and preventive care.
- Eager to expand knowledge in veterinary orthopedic procedures and patient care.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow.
