Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Kennel Attendant to join our team in St. Peters, MO. The ideal candidate will provide excellent care and attention to the animals in our facility, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Feed, water, and monitor animals according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
• Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas daily to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Exercise and socialize animals to promote their well-being and reduce stress.
• Assist with intake and release procedures, including documentation and record-keeping.
• Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to veterinary staff or management promptly.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and notify management when stock is low.
• Follow all safety protocols and animal handling procedures to ensure the safety of animals and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with animals or in a kennel environment preferred.
• Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and humanely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform cleaning tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to providing excellent animal care.
