Kennel Attendant

Job Description:
We are seeking a Kennel Attendant to join our team at our facility in Lincoln, NE. The Kennel Attendant will be responsible for the care and well-being of all animals in our boarding facility. This includes feeding, walking, and cleaning up after the animals. The Kennel Attendant will also be responsible for returning animals to their owners in a safe and timely manner.

Position:
This is a PART TIME 10-25 hours a week position. You will be working most the evenings and weekends, we close at 7pm on Monday and Fridays and at 5:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Weekends are required. Weekend schedule is Saturday 7:30am until 1pm, 4:30pm until finished and Sunday 7:30am until finished and 4:30pm until finished. HOLIDAYS are MANDATORY. The Kennel Attendant position is a key role for our kennel that provides daily care for our boarded animals and assist with kennel maintenance. The role interacts with the clinical team, clients and supports our customer focused environment. This is a PART TIME position. WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS are required.
Job Responsibilities:- Daily care for boarded animals
- Bathing, grooming, exercising, feeding, administering medication, and monitoring behavior
- Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning
- Reporting changes in animal behavior, health or concerns to Vet or Hospital Manager
- Maintaining animal records, such as weight, physical condition, treatments received, medications given, and food intake and other potential data as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Doctor/Hospital Manager/Kennel Manager
- Washing, drying, and folding laundry
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more, stoop, bend and stand on feet for long periods.
- Travel may be required
