What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN-ROADS position at CareSouth Carolina?
JOB SUMMARY: The LPN participates in the assessment of care of the mobile clinic patients. This involves a variety of tasks requiring judgement born of a solid knowledge and expertise in general nursing theory. Primary responsibility is to assist in the assessment and care of patients within the scope of her/his training limitations. The LPN will also perform routine administrative duties such as checking in patient, authorizing insurance, processing co-payments, etc.
EDUCATION/SKILLS: Must be licensed to work as an LPN in the State of South Carolina. Must be CPR certified. Six to twelve month experience in a community health care center or family practice setting strongly preferred. Pediatric experience preferred.
HOURS: Full-time. Monday-Friday.
LOCATION: This position is to work with our ROADS Team which is a mobile medical team providing primarily well-child, primary care in local area schools so it will be traveling daily on the medical unit within the Pee Dee Region.
SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS: This person will be required to obtain their Class B CDL license and be able to drive the unit on a rotating basis along with the other medical personnel that work on the unit. The pay will be commensurate with doing so. Adequate time will be given to obtain the license and in-house training will be provided.
