Role Description
The Board Member will play an integral role in guiding the organization's strategic direction, ensuring alignment with its mission, and evaluating operational performance. Responsibilities include active participation in monthly board meetings, participate in strategic planning, offering oversight on fundraising and financial sustainability, and engaging with community stakeholders to raise funds and strengthen partnerships.
Qualifications
- Cares is looking for people with legal, fundraising, start-up/business development and governance experience
- Strong communication, advocacy, and networking abilities
- Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and underserved communities
- Knowledge in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives preferred
- Prior lived and/or family/work experience related to the mission encouraged
