Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and deliver comprehensive curricula for Medical Assistant programs, incorporating current industry standards and best practices.
- Teach courses covering medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, patient care,
- Supervise classroom activities and clinical simulations to ensure students gain practical skills in real-world settings.
- Oversee laboratory experiences and ensure safety protocols are followed during hands-on training sessions.
- Review student documentation and assessments to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with clinical sites for research projects or clinical trials involving students or curriculum development.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Engage in continuous curriculum development to incorporate emerging healthcare trends and technologies such as learning technology tools.
- Provide mentorship and support to students working towards certification or higher education goals within healthcare disciplines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or training within healthcare education environments, preferably at the university level or adult education settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds including adult learners.
- Background in clinical research or clinical trials is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum tailored for higher education or adult learners.
- CCMA Certification required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.64 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
