Must have experience.
Knowledge of all front office duties including but not limited to treatment planning, insurance verification (knowledgeable in various insurance plans PPO), check in, check out, scheduling, answering phone and confirming appointments. Must have a great work ethic, confidence, well-spoken, good phone manners. Must have experience and know Dentrix Software. Pay rate is negotiable based on experience.
Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding their treatment plans and appointments.
- Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments, managing dental records, and doctor's/hygienist's schedule.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before filing in patient records.
- Handle incoming calls using phone systems to address patient inquiries and provide information about services offered.
- Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and maintaining organized patient files.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure all treatment protocols are followed and communicated effectively to patients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service within a dental setting.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix.
- Strong administrative skills including documentation review and file management.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist and treatment coordinator. Patient Communication & Education
- Explain treatment plans clearly in patient-friendly language
- Review diagnoses, procedures, sequence of care, and alternatives
- Answer patient questions and address concerns or objections
- Build trust and help patients feel comfortable moving forward with treatment
