Role Overview
We are seeking a Korean-speaking Accountant / Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial operations of Carepod.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with payroll, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close. You’ll also work closely with our U.S. team and our Korea-based headquarters, making bilingual communication an important part of the role.

Key Responsibilities
📊 Bookkeeping & Financial Records
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
- Record daily financial transactions and journal entries
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts
- Monitor cash flow and ensure records remain up to date
- Maintain organized financial documentation and supporting records
💳 Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and payments
- Issue customer invoices when needed
- Track outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments
- Maintain accurate vendor and customer records
- Resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner
💼 Payroll & Financial Administration
- Assist with payroll preparation and processing
- Review employee reimbursements and expense reports
- Maintain payroll-related records and documentation
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Assist with budgeting and financial reporting as needed
🤝 Cross-Functional Coordination
- Communicate with our Korea headquarters regarding accounting and financial matters
- Coordinate with external CPA firms, payroll providers, and financial partners
- Support audits and tax preparation by maintaining organized documentation
- Respond to finance-related requests from internal teams
📈 Financial Operations Support
- Help improve accounting workflows and internal processes
- Assist with implementing financial controls and best practices
- Support ad hoc finance and administrative projects
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and AI tools
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Fluent in both Korean and English (spoken and written)
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing company
