Acumatica Guru

Tang Company is seeking an in-house Acumatica Guru to lead the design, development, and enhancement of our Acumatica ERP system. This role requires the ability to envision and execute advanced customizations that optimize our business processes. We have already significantly invested in customizing our system and our strategic plans require that we continue doing so. This role bridges the gap between business and system, taking ownership of the ERP system’s architecture, development roadmap, and integration with other systems.

Duties:

• Architecture: In partnership with the CFO and other business stakeholders, manage, maintain, and project manage the overall vison and roadmap for the ERP system’s evolution.
• Customize and Develop: Tailor Acumatica to meet specific short- and long-term goals. Develop, test, and deploy customizations, aiming to deliver solutions that reduce manual work and improve process speed.
• Implement and Integrate: Quickly learn and deploy third-party solutions, integrating them with other business applications. Develop and maintain APIs to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability, resulting in faster onboarding of new tools and reduced integration downtime.
• Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing technical support and system administration, overseeing software updates (user support handled by dedicated sysadmin).
• Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and project managers, to gather requirements and deliver successful implementations, measured by timely project completion and positive stakeholder feedback.
• Data Management: Apply advanced data management and query skills to support system integration, data capture, and transfer, resulting in accurate data synchronization and minimal data discrepancies.
• Reporting: Prepare advanced GI reporting to support customer reports, business operations reports, and KPIs/dashboards. Modify invoice templates to meet customer needs, including integrated detail/backup reports.
• Soft Skills: Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, creativity and problem-solving skills to work effectively with different teams and business users, contributing to a positive and productive workplace environment.
• Training: Educate users, consult on best practices, and lead or consult on training initiatives.
• Documentation: Create business requirements documentation, data mapping, and process flow diagrams, and oversee configuration and deployment. Deliver clear, actionable documentation that supports ongoing system enhancements.
• Data Migration: Assist with data imports, quality checks, and verification of client data, ensuring all migrations maintain data integrity and meet project timelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Acumatica platform updates, participate in Acumatica focus groups and pursue relevant certifications that enhance the company’s use of Acumatica.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of technical experience in Acumatica development and software configuration.
• Deep expertise in Acumatica and data management/query.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to develop business requirements documentation and technical diagrams.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills.
