Position: Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Shift: Days | 8-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Schedule: 40 Hours per Week
Pay Package
- Gross Weekly Pay: Up to $2,326/week (Negotiable)
- W2 Hourly Rate: $27/hour
- Weekly Stipend: $1,246 (for eligible travelers)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (Travel) to join a leading healthcare facility in Watertown, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong operating room experience, be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment, and possess expertise in orthopedic procedures and robotic-assisted surgeries.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Required
- Previous travel assignment experience – Required
- Orthopedic (Ortho) surgical experience – Required
- Extensive scrubbing experience – Required
- Experience assisting with Da Vinci robotic surgical procedures – Required
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association - AHA)
- Strong knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of surgical instruments and equipment used in the operating room
- Ability to maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team throughout procedures
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment.
- Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment before procedures.
- Scrub and assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures, including orthopedic and robotic-assisted surgeries.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide instruments and supplies efficiently.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
