Job Overview
We are hiring qualitied Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team to work in assigned SNF.
Duties
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities designed to enhance mobility, strength, and functional independence.
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records in accordance with facility policies.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Support patients in various settings, including geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with team members and documenting patient care.
Requirements
- Must be a certified occupational therapy assistant with a valid state license.
- Experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, home health, or acute care settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical imaging and terminology related to occupational therapy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to assist patients in their recovery journey.
- Ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
