As a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner, you will:
- Provide compassionate wound care to residents in skilled nursing facilities
- Assess, document, and treat various wound types (diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, venous stasis wounds, etc.)
- Collaborate with facility staff and primary care providers to optimize wound healing outcomes
- Participate in care planning and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions
- Use evidence-based wound care practices and products
Qualifications – We’re Looking for New Grads Who:
- Have an active, unrestricted NP license in the state of Kansas (or pending)
- Are Board Certified (AGNP, FNP, or equivalent)
- Have a clinical interest in wound care, geriatrics, or long-term care
- Are eager to learn and comfortable in post-acute settings
- Have (or are eligible for) DEA registration (optional but encouraged)
- Are open to pursuing wound care certification (we’ll help you get there!)
- Can work within an EMR system and communicate well with interdisciplinary teams
