The Center Appointment Specialist works alongside the medical center staff and is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and scheduling patients’ medical appointments in a production environment.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience as medical receptionist preferred.
ABILITIES/SKILLS
- Must have the ability to learn and practice office procedures, policies, and protocols.
- Required to have a command of the English and Spanish language and be proficient with grammar, spelling, and verbal skills to communicate with patients, providers, and staff in written and oral communication.
- Must be proficient be proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge with computers, scanners, etc.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answers incoming calls in a courteous & professional manner.
- Schedules appointments by telephone and confirms all patient appointments on schedule including transportation.
- Screens incoming calls.
- Receives and conveys messages electronically, in writing and verbally.
- Schedule appointments according to office scheduling policies.
- Interact effectively with staff and patients to maintain a professional working environment.
- Participates in staff & educational meetings.
- Maintain a cheerful, positive, and respectful attitude.
- Other duties as needed and/or assigned.
