Medical Assistant III

Job Description Summary ‎ Responsible for assisting clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician in a mobile setting. ‎ How will you make an impact & Requirements ‎ With nearly 30 years of experience in providing advanced primary care, CareMore APC delivers exceptional patient experiences. Primary duties may include but are not limited to: Provides front and/or back office support. Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records reason for visit, explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication. Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co-payment if applicable, ensuring paperwork is complete. Schedules and confirms patient’s appointments, reconcile co-payments at the end of each day. Requirements: Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of related experience and minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant II or as an instructor in a Medical Assistant program; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) may be required. Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position. Phlebotomy background strongly preferred.
