About CareLink Community Services
CareLink Community Services is a Virginia DBHDS-licensed provider dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) to live safe, healthy, and meaningful lives in the community. We operate small, person-centered group homes (four or fewer individuals) where the people we serve are treated with dignity, respect, and genuine care. If you want a job where you make a real difference in someone's life every single day, we'd love to meet you.
Position Summary
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you are the heart of our home — providing hands-on daily support, care, and encouragement, helping the individuals who live there build independence, stay healthy and safe, participate in their community, and reach the goals in their Individual Support Plan (ISP). Our individuals attend an off-site Group Day Support program during the day, so your role includes morning and evening routines, weekends, and overnights. No experience? No problem — we provide paid training and certifications.
What You'll Do
Personal-care/ADL support with dignity and independence; meal prep with dietary/choking precautions; medication administration and documentation once certified; health monitoring and emergency/seizure/behavior response per each plan; implementing ISP goals and behavior support plans; safe transportation; accurate documentation (T-Logs, ISP data, incident reports); light housekeeping and sanitation; required supervision and overnight safety checks; and protecting each individual's rights, privacy, and dignity.
What We're Looking For
18 with HS diploma/GED; caring and dependable; able to pass a criminal background check, DSS Central Registry check, and drug screen; valid driver's license and reliable transportation; TB screening; able to lift/assist and stand for the shift. Preferred: DSP/caregiving experience and current CPR/First Aid, Med Admin, or TOVA/CPI certs.
What We Offer
Paid training and company-sponsored certifications; competitive pay with overnight shift differentials; flexible FT/PT schedules; growth into House Lead/Program Coordinator roles; a supportive small-home team. (Add your specific benefits — health insurance, PTO, referral bonuses.)
Equal Opportunity Employer; employment contingent on background checks per Virginia DBHDS licensing.
