Responsibilities:
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients
- Prepare and label specimens for laboratory testing
- Follow proper laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the clinical laboratory
- Adhere to safety guidelines and infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding during the phlebotomy process
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate specimen collection and processing
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician preferred
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures related to phlebotomy
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment
