What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver Specialist position at CareGivers NW?
Want to make a difference in someone's life? We are looking for a qualified caregiver specialist to assist our clients and caregivers in a professional and compassionate manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Help clients with ambulation and mobility around the house
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Plan and prepare meals
- Assist the client with shopping
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Be available days, nights, weekends
- Willing to travel within 30 miles in any direction
- Ability to train new caregivers adequately
- On-Call (Must be available Mon.-Fri. between 7am-7pm)
- After hours on-call rotation required ( one weekday, and one weekend per month)
Skills
- Knowledge of housekeeping and personal care activities
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate to others with a strong sense of ethics
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience as a caregiver is preferred but not required
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a driving record with little/no moving violations
