H5 Community Day Lead: Mon-Fri 7:45am-4pm - $200 Sign-On Bonus!

We are currently seeking to fill a full-time position with a recurring weekly schedule of Mon-Fri 7:45am-4pm in Augusta, GA.

Soto ALG is looking for competent Caregivers like you to join our team! Our direct care team provides professional and compassionate support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These living supports include supervising, teaching, and assisting our clients in every aspect of their lives with the goals of fostering increased independence, choice, and empowerment; assisting in maintaining a clean, safe living environment; and assisting in meal preparation and completion of various household duties.

The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients.

Responsibilities

· Help clients take prescribed medication

· Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)

· Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

· Plan and prepare meals

· Perform light housekeeping duties

· Be a pleasant and supportive companion

· Report any unusual incidents

· Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Requirements

· 21 years or older

· Valid Driver’s License

· Proof of high school diploma, GED, or higher education

· Willing and able to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle records check, pre-employment physical exam, and tuberculin test

· Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints

· Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

· Respectful and compassionate

· Good time management skills

· Experience in a mental health hospital highly preferred

· Experience managing behaviors highly preferred

· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong ethics

· Physical endurance
