As a Patient Assistant, you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by serving our residents in a safe environment promoting long term recovery. You will partner with the Director of Nursing and Executive Director to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for our residents.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- COVID –19 Vaccination approved exemption status
Job Duties:
- Works as part of the team to achieve common goals.
- Ensures adequate supplies are available, including medical supplies, linens, linen cartons, towels, soap, etc.
- Assists in medical monitoring when necessary.
- Assists in nursing duties as assigned.
- Maintains record of medication administered, side effects, etc. with appropriate documentation.
- Observes and observes physical conditions of residents. Assists in residents’ movements and activities which may include providing guided exercises, assist residents in transferring or turning in heavy equipment or assisting with physical therapy appointments. Observes and reports any unusual occurrences including but not limited to drug or medication side effects and reports any activity indicating an attempt at recovery. Maintains a positive attitude and maintains a positive relationship with everyone within the facility.
