We are currently looking for upbeat and reliable part-time/ full-time Cafe Helpers/ Food Runners/ Bussers to join the Carefree Coffee Roastery Team for mornings and early afternoons.
The Cafe Helpers/ Food Runners/ Bussers position is perfect for eager first time job seekers and working personnel wanting to learn customer service, food service and improve the art of coffee making.
A successful candidate will posses strong work ethic, an eagerness to learn and will demonstrate a passion and excitement for hospitality.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing outstanding customer service and individualized attention to all customers
- Demonstrating a willingness to learn about speciality coffees and teas
- Following food safety, and sanitary procedures for all foods and drinks
- Taking customers food and drink orders and payments
- Operate a coffee machine, making cold brew, brew tea and prepare other beverages
- Delivering food to customers tables, and clearing away used dishes
- Weigh, price and pack coffee and tea bags
- Restocking and inventory management
- Flexibility to complete various operational tasks
- Produces consistently great products
Basic Qualifications:
- A passion for speciality coffees and teas is preferred
- Must posses excellent oral communication skills
- Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality
- Ability to read and speak English proficiently
- Strong ability to multi-task in fast pace environments while maintaining great enthusiasm
- Ability to problem solve quickly
- Flexible to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to understand oral and written orders and request clarification if necessary
- Ability to follow directions
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have an active Food Handlers Card
- Must be able to learn
- Must hold strong interpersonal skills
- Must be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to build relationships with customers and consistently create a great customer service experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $13.15 - $15.15 per hour
