Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead a non-profit hospital foundation in Palm Beach County. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and visionary fundraising to advance the mission of supporting the programs, services, and community impact for the six hospitals under the network umbrella. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and works closely with hospital leadership, donors and community partners to ensure the Foundation achieves its financial and philanthropic goals.
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the Foundation’s long-term strategic plan in alignment with hospital priorities.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Foundation and hospital leadership, ensuring strong communication and collaboration.
- Provide leadership and support to the Board of Directors in governance, planning, and policy development.
Fundraising & Donor Relations
- Design and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies including major gifts, annual giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, planned giving, and special events.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Oversee donor recognition and ensure best practices in donor stewardship.
Financial & Operational Management
- Develop and manage the Foundation’s annual budget and ensure fiscal accountability.
- Oversee all operational functions including finance, HR, marketing/communications, and compliance.
- Ensure transparent reporting to the Board, donors, and stakeholders.
Team Development & Management
- Recruit, mentor, and manage Foundation staff to foster a high-performing, mission-driven culture.
- Set clear goals and expectations, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.
Community Engagement & Advocacy
- Serve as the public face of the Foundation, representing it at community events, hospital functions, and with media.
- Build strong partnerships with community leaders, philanthropic organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Advocate for the hospital’s mission and expand awareness of the Foundation’s impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in nonprofit management, business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit management, healthcare philanthropy, or related field.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising, major gift solicitation, and donor cultivation.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development and oversight.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with hospital executives, Board members, staff, and volunteers.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
