Accounting Manager

Our company, a full-service lawn and garden care provider since 2000, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency across all financial processes. This role partners closely with internal teams, vendors, and clients in a fast-paced, service-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable & Billing: Generate and distribute invoices, apply payments, manage collections, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain AR aging reports.
• Accounts Payable & Expenses: Process and verify vendor invoices, match against purchase orders, schedule payments, reconcile statements, and track credit card and operating expenses.
• Payroll & Compliance: Audit payroll for accuracy, reconcile reports, assist with year-end documentation, and support payroll inquiries.
• Reconciliation & Reporting: Reconcile customer, vendor, bank, and ledger accounts; prepare financial summaries and expense reports; support audits.
• Administrative Support: Maintain records, track tax and insurance obligations, communicate with internal departments, and manage AR/AP documentation.

Qualifications

• 5 years in accounting operations, AR/AP, or finance roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Proficient in QuickBooks and payroll systems (e.g., ADP)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
• Service-based or construction industry experience preferred
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
