ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands the strategic objectives of all customers and prospective customers.
- Able to multitask: upsell current customers while prospecting new customers/
- Able to sell, negotiate and execute snack programs.
- Adept at implementing creative ideas and innovative solutions to overcome roadblocks.
- Actively attends trade shows by securing meetings in advance of the shows.
- Demonstrates results driven behavior every day; grows the sales pipeline and focuses the majority of the work week on upselling and prospecting.
QUALIFYING SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business or similar degree is highly preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in a sales capacity, specifically in food.
- Must have knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
- Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Must have good influencing skills to provide the customer with the right solutions for growing their snack revenue.
- Must have excellent communication skills to represent the company to external customers and exchange information in person, in writing, by telephone, or e-mail.
- Must have exceptional skills developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with both customers and across the business. Dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations.
- Must have excellent skills in handling customer complaints, resolving conflicts and negotiating with others in an effort to support sales goals.
- Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written to convey information or ideas effectively and the ability demonstrate active listening skills. Also includes speaking clearly and the ability to express information clearly both in spoken language and in writing.
- Must demonstrate critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning skills to identify the challenges and opportunities of alternative options.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Must have excellent knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, and practical application of mathematics to solve problems.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
