We are a broadline distributor with a cash n carry operation delivering quality food, service and custom solutions to foodservice operators and restaurants throughout the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut markets.
Our growing company is looking fro a Junior Buyer who is motivated and detail-oriented.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the senior buying team in procurement, vendor coordination, market & price analysis and inventory management.
Interaction with the finance, sales and warehouse teams ensuring our operation is running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Assist in purchasing /sourcing food products to meet demand
- Request quotes
- Negotiate pricing
- Enter and track purchase orders
- Track deliveries, resolve shipping/invoicing discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels in the warehouse to prevent shortages
- Prepare purchasing reports
- Providing support to the procurement team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management
- High school diploma with 2 years of purchasing/sourcing or inventory experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment
- Strong communication, negotiation, time management and problem-solving skills.

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
