Overview:
The Inventory Control Specialist assists with maintaining accurate records and reports of inventory across multiple warehouses and manufacturing locations. This role ensures inventory levels align with operational demands, helping to prevent shortages or excess stock. The specialist also plays a key role in identifying, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies across various locations and departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete physical inventories, cycle counts, and random audits.
- Identify, palletize and isolate any items designated for disposal.
- Assist in the preparation of inventory reports by reviewing discrepancies and collaborating with the Inventory Control Manager to resolve them.
- Process and dispose of product authorized by Management ensuring a Certificate of Destruction is completed and submitted.
- Load disposal items onto truck upon collection.
- Perform quality checks around date-sensitive, slow moving, and obsolete items; collect necessary samples for Quality Control assessments.
- Propose enhancements to improve inventory accuracy.
- Serve as back up for the Inventory Control Manager
Education, Work Experience and Other Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of warehouse/inventory experience
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Able to work independently
- Strong MS Excel skills/Proficient computer skills
- Strong math skills
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred but willing to train
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
