Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurate data entry in quality logs and reports
- Assist the QA Manager in implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes and standards
- Support internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and follow-up actions
- Monitor quality metrics, compile reports, and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain and organize quality documentation, including SOPs, inspection records, and compliance logs
- Help investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and track progress
- Perform routine inspections, checks, or testing as required
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality processes
- Assist with training staff on quality standards and procedures
- Communicate with parent company and ingredient broker
- Review daily Beta Lactam test results
- Assist with maintaining state records and reports
- Create work orders for action items
- Assist Lab with data entry
- Assist in preparation and take part in audit activities
- Maintain a clean and neat work environment
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are carried out
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action to their immediate Supervisor or QA personnel

Required Skills and Abilities:
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organized and analytical mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and overtime as needed
Education and Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related environment
- Experience with SafetyChain or similar Compliance and Quality Management System
- Experience with audits, both internal and external
- Familiarity with quality standards and SQF program
- Basic data analysis and reporting skills
- PCQI certification
- Willingness to attain other certifications including but not limited to HACCP, SQF, Texas DSHS
