Quality Assurance/Compliance Officer

In Addition To Incident Management, The QAO Will
- Oversee both quality control and quality assurance
- Establish and enforce quality assurance standards providing technical and regulatory services in growing inputs, packaging and production of medical marijuana products
- Support continuous quality improvement through creation of specifications and performance and oversight of various auditing and investigation actions
- Review regulations, documents, and reports pertaining to the Department of Health Office of Compassionate Use, as well as any future regulations or oversight
- Develop, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Operations Manuals
- Interact with Patient Care Director to create a cohesive well run quality assurance program
- Oversee and assist in quality control with critical/technical review of documents, test results, procedures and production equipment
- Apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot production issues
- Investigate product non-conformances; conduct material reviews for complaints, and document findings and responses

Eligible candidates for the QAO position will have at least five years experience as a Quality Assurance Manager in a regulated environment including experience conducting records management, inventory audits, and developing and enforcing corrective action plans. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in quality assurance systems, documentation and testing methods and have experience establishing and maintaining version controlled standards and workflows.
All candidates must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass an FBI background check. A background in chemistry and plant biology is preferred as well as prior experience working within the medical marijuana industry.
