Job Summary

American Financing is seeking a VP of Product, Operations Experience to lead the strategy and execution of all internal systems that power the end-to-end loan lifecycle. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence through technology, data, and automation, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance across every stage of the loan process. This leader will own the ecosystem of tools, analytics, and workflows that support processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for all operational systems across the loan lifecycle
• Oversee tools and platforms supporting loan processing, underwriting, closing, compliance, and servicing
• Identify and deliver automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve throughput
• Partner with Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Technology teams to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks
• Lead modernization and integration of Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and other operational platforms
• Establish robust analytics and reporting capabilities to measure performance at every stage of the loan process
• Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards for cycle times, productivity, quality, and compliance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and scalability
• Build and lead a high-performing product team, including Directors and Product Owners
• Ensure systems and processes adapt to evolving regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• 12 years in product management, technology, or operations-focused roles, with 5 years in leadership
• Deep expertise in mortgage operations, including processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing
• Strong experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and operational workflow platforms
• Proven track record of delivering automation and efficiency gains through technology
• Experience building and scaling internal tools, reporting systems, and data platforms
• Strong analytical mindset with expertise in operational metrics and performance tracking
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
