Senior Engineer II

Duties include but not limited too:

• Hands-on experience with electrical systems such as UPS, PCS, EG, ATS, and critical power systems supporting NAS equipment.
• Design heavy electrical infrastructure systems, including incoming utility service, main distribution, panel upgrades, grounding, and facility-wide power distribution for operational FAA facilities.
• Develop and review engineering plans, SOWs, and IGCEs for electrical power distribution, lighting, control systems, and equipment power to support refurbishment and modernization projects.
• Develop complete construction-ready electrical design packages: one-lines, panel schedules, load calculations, grounding, and conduit layouts.
• Perform engineering studies and site assessments to define deficiencies, capacity limits, and upgrade requirements.
• Prepare Engineering Study Reports (ESRs) defining problem statements, alternatives, and recommended solutions.
• Familiarity with FAA standards, NEC, UFC, NFPA, and applicable local utility requirements.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and product data for technical compliance.
• Provide construction-phase engineering support, including RFIs, field modifications, and as-built verification.
• Prepare material purchase descriptions and technical specifications with quantities and cost basis.
• Prepare or support Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Provide on-site field support, inspections, and restoration support for NAS facilities as directed by the COR.
• Conduct limited prototype or mock-up evaluations when required for new power or control system configurations.
