Full Stack Engineer II

Overview
JMA Solutions, LLC, a management consulting firm in Washington, D.C. is seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development, with a passion for creating efficient and scalable web applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Duties

• Provide Help Line telephonic support during normal business hours.
• Provide IT and software support to the Program Office through the following:
• Design, install, and test user-friendly web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Code and test the site to ensure its functionality.
• Create the site structure, systems, data, and logic, as well as process the data.
• Develop server-side logic and APIs to support front-end functionality.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to enhance application usability and performance.
• Manage database systems, ensuring data integrity and security through MySQL or SQL.
• Utilize version control systems such as GitHub and SVN for code management and collaboration.
• Write clean, maintainable low-level and high-level source code while adhering to best practices in software development.
• Collaborate with software development teams to define the scope and scale of software projects.
• Design the software system architecture.
• Write technical documents to include the development of a software (SW) development plan, which must be submitted for review prior to any SW release.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, principals, architects, and website testers to build the structure of the website.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Train and support end-users and junior developers.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and contribute innovative ideas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Science in Computer Science or 13 years of experience without a degree
• Minimum of eight (8) years of applicable experience
• Proficiency in Front-End and Back-End languages.
• Proficiency in HTMLs, CSS, JavaScript, C , JQuery, Java, Python, Rails, Ruby, .Net, database systems and SQL Atlassian tools suite.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, and experience with RESTful services.
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems for deployment and development environments.
• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, for application hosting and scalability.
• Experience working with relational databases like MySQL or SQL for data management.
• Knowledge of development methodologies and tools that promote efficient workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

SALARY: $115,000 - $123,000 depending on experience and education levels.  JMA offers a full benefits package including vision, health, prescription drug, dental, company-paid life and accidental death and dismemberment, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance, as well as a 401K retirement plan with a company match.
