Rayonier is seeking applicants to fill a Shipping Forklift position at the Gwinn Lumber Mill. The Shipping Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating shipping forklifts to control and manage mill output/finished product and load output product on to flatbed semi-trailer and rail cars.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $25.39.
Schedule

Typically, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Shifts rotate every two weeks from days to afternoons:

Nights – Monday – Thursday 2:00 P.M. – 10:30 P.M.

Friday 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.

Days – Monday – Thursday 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M.

Shift differential is $1.50 more per hour, for hours worked between 4:00pm - 7:00am.
Production & Quality
-
Responsible for staging and positioning pallets in the yard to manage mill output and for shipping, loading trucks and rail cars.

Ensures all loads are safely distributed, loaded, and secured properly.

Ensure all tracking and shipping labels are attached properly and verified for correct shipping and loading.

Monitors and facilitates proper maintenance and functionality of forklifts.
Safety & Environmental

Operates all equipment in a safe manner and maintains a clean work area.

Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.

High School Diploma or GED required.

A good attendance, work, and safety record.

Basic understanding of computers and window-based programs.

Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
