Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Execute the daily responsibilities of getting the correct material to the job sites that are requesting it in a safe and timely manner
- Ensure that trucks are being inspected / serviced on a weekly / monthly basis to reduce the risk of potential downtime.
- Follow all safety policies, processes, and instructions so that work is carried out in a safe and consistent manner.
- Maintain a high level of customer service with Superintendents / Leads in the field to ensure a high level of satisfaction with each delivery.
- Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles
- Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
- Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, and forklifts
- Assist in the tool department as needed
- Run parts to service jobsites as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in delivery driving
- Minimum of 1 year of experience driving at least a 26-foot box truck
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Clear Driving Record
- Clear Background as there will be deliveries to military bases
- Experience operating forklifts
- Be able to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communication
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, walk and stand for long periods of time
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to keep a high level of productivity with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) will improve placement consideration for this position
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Good planning and organization skills
- Ability to work well with others
