They collect accurate demographic, insurance, and clinical details, entering all pertinent information into the patient’s account to ensure proper billing and coordination of care. The role includes reviewing and obtaining required patient consents, explaining forms in a clear and respectful manner. Admissions Representatives answer questions, offer guidance about the registration process, and help patients feel informed and comfortable. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential, as the representative supports both patient needs and the operational flow of the hospital.
Hours: Part-time Rotating Weekends, Saturday and Sunday, 12pm - 8pm
- Distributes pre-admission forms to each department.
- Signs in patient upon arrival.
- Obtains copies of patient’s insurance information.
- Verifies all patient data and corrects as needed.
- Calls secondary insurance companies for pre-certifications.
- Creates and files business office/admission charts.
- Responsible for the production and distribution of patient education manuals.
- Verifies compliance with regulatory standards.
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school graduate with Business curriculum.
- Two to three years secretarial/office experience.
- Must be a team player and have personality skills.
