Job Description

STC is a science and engineering research and services support company with proven expertise and experience spanning research, development, test, and evaluation in areas including aerospace engineering, earth and atmospheric sciences, chemical and biological defense, military systems and technology, and software development.

Responsibilities:
Provide design of experiment support for the front-end process and procedure development to ensure experimental validity, reliability, and replicability. Provide back-end statistical analysis support for collected experimental data.

• Provide DoE support for research efforts related to the detection/ identification of chemical and or biological materials
• Provide back-end statistical support to analyze data using MS Excel, Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), MathWorks MATLAB, and or R Foundation for Statistical Computing, or other tools
• Ensure tools and analysis will support RDT&E studies from inception to result interpretation and publication
• Remain current on related subjects in the literature and news.
• Contribute to presentations, technical reports and research publications.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay: $79k - $86k
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• 401K with up to 4% employer matching contribution
• 3 weeks (120 hrs/year) Paid Time Off (PTO), 11 Federal holidays, and Sick Leave

Job Requirements

Education:
Master’s degree in Data Science, Biostatistics, Applied Statistics or a related discipline.

Job Requirements

• U.S. Citizen eligible for a security clearance
• 3 years’ experience applying and performing DoE and statistical analysis for research projects
• Advanced expertise with at least 3 of the following products: MS Excel, SAS, MATLAB, and R
• Experience coding in Python
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly, multitask, and complete work within schedule

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with chemical and biological research projects
• DoD Secret clearance
