Job Description

Muller Engineering is looking to expand our Program Management Team. This position will support the management and delivery of programs and projects within both the transportation and water resources industries.

While technical design production remains an essential component of successful project delivery, it is only one piece of the puzzle. Our Program Management Team focuses on the broader business side of engineering and complex project delivery, helping clients navigate challenges beyond design development alone.

The person in this role will work on a wide variety of project delivery efforts, including supporting grant applications and funding pursuits, assisting with risk and resiliency planning, coordinating with utilities and irrigation stakeholders, and contributing to alternative delivery projects and strategies. This position will also involve collaboration with clients, consultants, and internal teams to help guide projects from planning through delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working in a traditional design role who is interested in expanding their experience into the larger landscape of project delivery, program strategy, and engineering management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide client support and owner’s representation services for standard and alternative delivery projects.
  • Coordinate project deliverables including correspondence, memorandums, technical reports, tracking, filing, reporting and more.
  • Assist in project management duties and responsibilities.
  • Prepare and review memos; reports; utility, irrigation, and stakeholder agreements; and other documentation.
  • Support public and private stakeholder engagement and coordination with Federal, State and Local Agencies, as well as landowners.
  • Utilize management tools to support project scoping, funding, scheduling, and execution.
  • Facilitate effective meetings and organize agendas, minutes, and presentation materials.
  • Desire to work within a team environment and provide outstanding internal and external client service.
  • Show initiative with an emphasis on the business side of engineering and project coordination.
Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the management of civil engineering projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organization and customer service skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate high level thinking, problem solving skills and excel at building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Experience with Colorado DOT (or other state DOT) plan preparation procedures and standards is a plus.

Required License or Certification:

  • Active Engineer Intern (EI) designation in Colorado or another state.
  • Active Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $102,000, depending on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
