Job Title: Travel RN Emergency Room
Location: Alamogordo, NM 88310
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Multiple shifts available (start times vary between 3:00 PM 7:00 PM); 7:00 PM 7:00 AM shift also available
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
- Deliver routine and complex patient care in an emergency department setting
- Manage a wide range of patients including strokes, STEMIs, trauma cases, post-surgical and pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and general ED cases
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and care needs
- Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with healthcare team members
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience (Level 1, 2, or 3 Trauma required within the last year)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Current RN license in New Mexico or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
- TNCC certification required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Preferences:
- Prior experience in similar clinical settings
- Strong critical thinking and patient management skills
- Experience handling diverse and complex emergency cases
