Job Title: Transmission Line Structural Engineer
Location: Pomona, CA 91768
Duration: 6 Months Contract (With Possibilities of Extension)

Pay Range: $98.77 - $111.73/hr. on W2

Pay Range: $98.77–$111.73/hr.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: 5 days per week, hybrid work schedule (at least 2 days in office on Wednesday and Thursday)
 
Job Summary:

• Lead all Transmission line structural engineering tasks related to lattice towers (Structure and Foundation) in complex transmission line projects.
• Act as a subject matter expert in PLS Tower analysis and/or modeling of existing and new lattice tower structures following ASCE and Client standard and specifications.
• Act as a subject matter expert in design or review of new or existing Transmission line foundations (Drilled concrete shaft, direct embed, Micro pile and Grillage) using FAD Tools, hand calcs or similar programs.
• Perform Transmission line structural load calculations based on NESC, California General Order 95, or other applicable codes and resources.
• Lead construction administration efforts including coordination with field personnel to resolve design-related construction issues, support emergency restorations (wildfire, storm and other incidents), and field inspections.
• Prepare engineering mitigation reports for damaged Transmission line lattice towers and damaged footings.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to Client’s transmission engineering practice, mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
• Build effective relationships with other responsible entities in our organization.
• Responsible for QA/QC process adherence, compliance with company and site safety policies.

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering.

• Required: California Civil PE License (Structural PE preferred).

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the Transmission Line Engineering field.
• Subject Matter Expert in PLS Tower (PLS CADD) and FAD Tools.
• Experience in structural analysis and modeling of lattice towers (new and existing).
• Experience in foundation design and review (Drilled concrete shaft, direct embed, Micro pile, Grillage).
• Structural load calculations based on NESC, California General Order 95, or other codes.
• Construction administration, field coordination, and field inspection experience.
• Engineering mitigation reporting for structural damage.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capability.
• Strong adherence to QA/QC processes and safety compliance.

• California Structural Engineer (SE) License preferred.
