Job Title: Sourcing Specialist
Location: Edison, NJ, 08837
Duration: 11/24/2025 – 06/30/2027
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Schedule: 5x8 hrs/week, 40 hrs/week; Monday–Friday; hybrid schedule (onsite as needed); no on-call
Pay Range: $35-$38/hr.

• Minimum seven (7) years of relevant experience.

• Strong project management and time management skills.

• Adaptable to shifting priorities.

• Strong communication skills.

• Travel within Hackensack Meridian Health as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – Required.

• Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) – Required at time of hire or within 12 months.

• Identify cost savings through contract negotiation with GPOs or vendors.

• Lead the RFP process and support departments in supplier selection.

• Source and negotiate contracts across product categories.

• Quickly identify alternate suppliers in urgent situations.

• Engage with domestic and global suppliers to support supply chain goals.

• Meet with supplier representatives and conduct quarterly reviews.

• Share savings opportunities with Value Analysis and internal teams.

• Collaborate with departments to implement cost-saving initiatives.

• Ensure pricing accuracy with Pricing/Data Integrity teams.

• Manage contract documentation with Legal and update systems.

• Maintain pricing updates, renewals, and contract changes.

• Assist buyers in resolving pricing issues.

• Identify substitute products during recalls or shortages.

• Collaborate with Legal to ensure complete procurement terms.

• Participate in team reviews and support workflow improvements.

• Track and report cost savings by period.

• Use Google tools to analyze supplier/category spend.

• Act as liaison for procurement-related inquiries.

• Support product branding initiatives.

• Perform other duties as assigned, in line with Hackensack Meridian Health standards.

Salary : $35 - $38
