Job Title: RN - MED/SURG TELEMETRY
Job Location: Portland, ME
Job Duration: 5-6 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: 7:00pm - 7:30am
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: 36
Years of Experience: 1-2 minimum
Float Requirements:
- Med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care.
- Floating is based on unit need and skill as well as the needs of nursing units.
Required Certifications:
- BLS
Education Modules:
- MMC mandatory onboarding education.
Unit Information:
Number of Beds: 43
Patient Ratios: Day Shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, Night Shift Med/Surg 1:5-6, Day and Night IMC 3:1
Equipment: Ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, CPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-Rebreather, Epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, Trach care/maintenance
EMR: Epic
Must Have Skills/Experience:
- IMC RNs must have Vent experience.
- All RNs must have experience with tracheostomies and interpreting telemetry strips.
Type of Patients on Unit:
- Respiratory, Medical Telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, Altered Mental Status, Failure to Thrive, Respiratory Failure, and most any acute on chronic medical condition.
