Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Location: Tulsa, OK 74136
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Nights
W1: Mon/Tue/Wed 7:00 PM 7:30 AM;
W2: Sun/Mon/Wed 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (with call)
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate radiology equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and reduce anxiety
- Retrieve and input radiologic orders into EMR
- Perform imaging using CR/DR techniques following protocols
- Ensure radiation safety using protective techniques and equipment
- Assist across multiple departments including ER, surgery, outpatient imaging, and clinics
- Monitor patients during procedures, including moderate sedation when required
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and report malfunctions
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked and maintained
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement and departmental education activities
- Assist in obtaining informed consent and follow universal protocol for procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and provide patient-centered care
Requirements:
- BLS certification (AHA)
- ARRT-R certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiology)
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- 06 months of related experience
- Knowledge of digital radiography (DR) and/or computerized radiography (CR)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to wear lead apron for extended periods
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
Preferences:
- EPIC experience
- Level 1 Trauma experience
- Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and responsibilities
