Position: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Avon Park, FL
Duration: 4 months (contract)
Shift / Time Zone:

Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Every 3rd Saturday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I is the first point of contact for patients. This role focuses on providing excellent patient care, performing safe and accurate blood draws, and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform clinical and forensic blood collections following established procedures

Explain procedures clearly and create a comfortable patient experience

Accurately process specimens and maintain required documentation

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

Complete daily tasks accurately and on time under supervisor direction
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience (1 year preferred)

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent customer service and data entry skills

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)
Additional Remarks:

Must live within 20–25 minutes of the Avon Park, FL site (home city/commute time required on resume)

Reliable personal transportation required (rideshare/public transit not accepted)

Must be flexible for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime

Punctuality and full-shift availability are mandatory
