Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Ellenton, FL
Duration: 3 months
Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday with rotational Saturdays
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens while providing excellent patient care. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and attention to accuracy and confidentiality. The PSR I interacts directly with patients and helps create a safe, positive, and trusting environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and specimen collection (clinical and forensic)

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing

Accurately maintain records and documentation

Follow safety, quality, and confidentiality standards

Provide professional and courteous patient service

Work independently under minimal supervision
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience (1 year preferred)

Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience

Strong customer service and data entry skills

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Additional Requirements:

Must live within 20–25 minutes of the worksite (include home city/commute time on resume)

Reliable personal transportation required

Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call as needed
