Overview:
- Role: Middleware Consultant for NIS ESB Admin Engineer team
- Critical Initiative: As part of Accelerated Cloud initiative moving of on-prem ESB to AWS Gov cloud. (Build and support ESB on 4 platforms (on-prem, CFS2, CFS1 and HRCE)
- Support Area: NIS ESB (Enterprise Service Bus)
- Build the IaC (Infrastructure as Code) code using Terraform, Python and Shell scripting.
- 5 years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale IBM ACE (IIB) infrastructures in AWS and on-premises environments.
- 3 years of experience with IBM MQ
- Analyzing and tuning IBM ACE performance with in-depth knowledge of logs, and memory management.
- Implementing IBM ACE certificate management
- Designing Disaster strategies with region failover, and site failover.
- Managing IBM ACE in Linux and AIX environments.
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and terraform.
- Subject matter expertise in Python, Shell scripting and AWS skills
- AWS Expertise - Expertise in AWS IAM, S3, EC2 and Lambda services
- AWS certified architect Associate Criticality and Value: This role is critical to build and support NIS Enterprise Service Bus products in CFS2, HRCE, CFS1 and on-prem platforms.
- Currently only 1 FTE with 4 consultants supporting this whole effort.
- The role requires Advanced IBM ACE (Application Connect Enterprise) skills and AWS knowledge for administering current ESB product in On-Prem (AIX) and AWS (Linux) environments independently with minimal oversight.
- ESB product is critical for multiple client business application integration and not hiring the resource would impact on the ongoing ACC effort timelines.
