Duties:
The Commercial Data Management and Operations role will be hands-on, core member of the commercial data management team. Reporting to the Associate Director, Commercial Data Management, they will serve as a data SME, guiding the organization on how to leverage data, while assuring data quality, data accuracy, and availability for our stakeholders to help drive key decisions for the growth of the business and the needs of the patients we serve.
Core Responsibilities:
Supervise and improve data stewardship processes, including oversight of data change requests (DCRs) managed by service providers
Oversee master data management (MDM) for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and organizations (HCOs) within the CDW
Oversee day-to-day operations of *** commercial data warehouse (CDW), troubleshooting and escalating issues as appropriate assuring follow-up and resolution
Oversee ingestion and validation of IDN and specialty pharmacy data from 50 vendors, ensuring completeness and accuracy
Design, assemble, optimize, and maintain data marts to support advanced reporting and analytics requirements within the Tableau environment, driving efficiency and scalability
Support and, as delegated, lead integration and design of new commercial data acquisitions and enhancements to the CDW structure and daily processes
Identify and implement process improvements and quality measures, including enhancements to exception management and data validation
Manage third-party agreement (TPA) contracts, ensuring vendors have compliant access to CDW data
Develop and maintain comprehensive CDW documentation from both technical and business perspectives
Participate in the commercial data management sprint process, supporting the AD through coordination and/or execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) and assisting with stakeholder communications
Additional Responsibilities:
Integrate third-party syndicated data assets (e.g., Symphony, IQVIA, Prognos) into the CDW, ensuring data quality and alignment with business needs
Serve as a data subject matter expert (SME), educating and training cross-functional teams on available CDW data assets
Respond to and resolve data inquiries from field teams and commercial business partners, conducting root cause analysis and corrective actions
Collaborate with IT/IS on VEEVA integration requirements and other system interfaces to ensure seamless data flow
Ensure all CDW activities comply with *** data governance, privacy, and security policies, as well as industry best practices
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field required
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Skills:
Qualifications
5 years of experience in commercial data management, data warehousing, Master Data Management (MDM), or business intelligence, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry
Proven experience designing, building, and optimizing data marts and data warehouses
Strong understanding of master data management (MDM), data stewardship, and data governance, and data quality best practices
Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts; experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Azure) a plus
Experience with R and/or Python for data analysis is a plus
Demonstrated experience in process implementation and management
Experience with third-party syndicated data assets (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo) and/or other secondary sources such as specialty pharmacy, specialty distributor, copay, and lab data
Experience managing projects involving cross-functional teams
Oncology or Rare Disease Experience Preferred
Familiarity with IDN Specialty Pharmacy data and validation processes a plus
Experience using BI tools such as Tableau is a plus
