About the Role



The Chief Information Officer is responsible for leading enterprise-wide technology and digital strategy, ensuring systems, platforms, and innovations align with corporate growth, regulatory demands, and market expansion. This role encompasses infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, digital transformation, and leadership of global IT teams. The CIO is the architect of the enterprise’s digital future and a critical influencer of corporate success.



Responsibilities



  • Enterprise Technology Strategy: Define and execute a multi-year technology roadmap that aligns with corporate growth and digital transformation objectives.
  • IT Infrastructure & Cloud: Oversee enterprise IT operations, cloud migration strategies, data centers, and network security at a global scale.
  • Digital Innovation: Champion adoption of advanced technologies including AI, automation, data analytics, and emerging digital tools to create competitive advantage.
  • Cybersecurity Oversight: Partner with security teams to ensure resilient defenses, zero-trust architectures, and regulatory compliance across all systems.
  • Data Governance: Drive enterprise-wide data management strategies, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and monetization of data assets.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, and Commercial leaders to ensure IT systems enable and accelerate corporate strategies.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Negotiate with global technology partners and vendors, optimizing cost efficiency and innovation outcomes.
  • Leadership & Talent Development: Build and mentor diverse IT leadership teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
  • Board & Executive Reporting: Deliver technology and digital progress updates to the CEO, Board of Directors, and Audit Committees.


Qualifications



  • 15 years of progressive leadership in IT, Digital Transformation, or Enterprise Technology, with at least 7 years in C-suite or SVP roles.
  • Proven success in financial services, technology, or highly regulated global industries.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms, enterprise applications (ERP/CRM), data analytics, and IT security.
  • Strong knowledge of AI, automation, and emerging digital frameworks at scale.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at the Board level, manage global IT budgets, and lead large cross-functional teams.
  • Executive presence with exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.


Required Skills



Strategic Support: The CIO serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, ensuring technology not only supports but drives enterprise strategy. This includes:



  • Advising on M&A integration, global expansion, and digital revenue models.
  • Guiding investment priorities for AI, cloud transformation, and data monetization.
  • Supporting corporate ESG goals by embedding sustainable IT practices and energy-efficient infrastructure.
  • Providing foresight into emerging technology trends and aligning enterprise strategy with market opportunities.


Working Conditions



  • Remote role with periodic travel to technology hubs, leadership summits, and global innovation centers.
  • Requires flexibility across multiple time zones to manage international IT operations.
  • High-visibility C-suite role with significant accountability for technology-driven growth and resilience.
  • Operates in a fast-paced, transformation-driven environment requiring innovation, agility, and strong execution under pressure.


Pay range and compensation package



Compensation Package: Base salary $388,000 – $433,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive executive benefits.
